Ben is a licensed home inspector under Consumer Protection BC and a proud associate member of HIABC (Home Inspectors Association BC) where he received his field training. Ben received his education through WPII (Western Pacific Property Inspection Institute) and has renovated, bought, and sold his own homes and knows first-hand how important it is to make a well-informed decision about the major investment that is purchasing a home.
WETT CERTIFIED
Ben is certified by www.wettinc.ca where he received his training to perform level 1 WETT (Wood Energy Technology Transfer) inspections. These are visual inspections of wood burning appliances and their systems, often required by insurance companies.
Electrical Background
Ben is a Red Seal journeyman electrician who has worked in construction for over 20 years. Having an electrical background is important for your home inspection, as a great deal of homes have electrical safety hazards.
Radon Professional
Ben is a certified C-NRPP (Canadian National Radon Proficiency Program) radon measurement professional and received his education through CARST (Canadian Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists). Ben uses one of the most advanced, annually calibrated professional measurement devices in the industry and is a strong advocate for radon awareness.
